Nainital is a hill station in the kumaon region of Uttarakhand,it is also known as queen of kumaon.
nainital is Situated at an altitude of 1938 mtrs( 6358 ft) above sea level, this town is set in a valley containing an eye shaped lake which is almost 3 to 4 kilometres in circumference and it is surrounded by mountains,
With only an hour or 2 drive from haldwani it is the most popular hill town in kumaon region of Uttarakhand

Nainital is an education hub too. It is known countrywide for its prestigious boarding schools like Sherwood College, All Saints’ College, St. Mary’s Convent, Birla Vidya Mandir, St. Joseph’s College, to name a few. Some of these centers of education are were established more than 150 years ago and several dignitaries of national and international repute have been educated in them.
The Aryabhatta Research Institute of Observational Sciences (ARIES), the leading astronomical research institute and observatory, is also located in Nainital. It is also interesting to point out that the largest ground based optical telescope is also located at ARIES, Nainital

Things to do in Nainital
1 naini lake

The blue green nanny lake is the main centre of attraction in nainital. A level area near the temple the flats, is where people gather every evening for recreational activities bandstand ,a fountain, skating rink the nainy stadium and several bazaars including the Tibetan market
Boating and yachting are the most popular activities at the lake. A robot ride cost rupees 210. You can also hire a small yard add ₹500 for 2 persons/hr from the national Boat Club at the flats. You will get a boatman but you can also hire if paddleboat if you want to explode the lake on your own

The boathouse club on the lake, dating back to the mid 19th century, is a must see. For lovely views head to the lake facing tables at its wooden floored bar. A temporary membership providing access to the bar end the billiards room is available.
Snow view
The Viewpoint 2250 meter Atop share ka danda hill, boost of spectacular views of the Himalayas especially March, peaks are covered with snow., it is possible to see the nanda Devi peak from here. To reach this viewpoint you can hide for 2 kilometre along uphill path, ride a pony will . Alternatively there is a rope way that connects mall road to snowpoint.
Ropeway ticket :rs200(return)timings 9:00-5:00 pm
Note:-yopu need to return within an hour for the ropeway round trip.
Eco Cave Garden ;
This well laid out park has a musical fountain which is operational only in May and June The six caves here may not challenge Pilimka but are still good enough for Scrambling through.
Entry ; adults add ₹25 komal children at ₹10
Timings; 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM
the caves should not be attempted by claustrophobic people and children
Nainital zoo

the nainital zoo is steep 1.5 kilometre climb from the southern end of the mall road. This zoological park is home to a variety of animals and birds. Among the very popular residents here are wolves, himalayan black bears tigers Kamal leopards colourful Himalayan pheasants

Eco cave gardens
This well laid out park (cell: 086 5000 2516) has a musical fountain which is operational only in may and June. The 6 kgs hair may not challenges spelunker, but r still goodness for just scrambling through

Naina peak
Naina peak is one of the most renowned touring places in Nainital, particularly for individuals who love traveling. The pinnacle is around 9.4 km from the city, which is associated by a motorable street to some distance. Around 6 km of the complete stretch should be traveled which offers incredible openness to the Kumaon verdure. The entire journey is covered by a thick woods of cypress, oak, and pine trees with a smidgen of pink and red by Rhododendrons. The trip on one side, trails along the Jim Corbett Public park and the opposite side provides you with a marvelous perspective on the excellence Nainital is.

The Naina top trip is a heaven for travelers as it tosses at you a blend of the preliminaries which is uphill, steep and delightful. The woods becomes denser as you move uphill. The 6 km climb can be finished inside a range of 1-2 hour. The pinnacle offers outside air and view which feels to be from an alternate world. With Himalayan reaches on one side, Nainital city and lake on other and truly amazing vegetation all around, the trip is profoundly fulfilling
Tiffin top:-

Governor’s House:

There are several shops near the edge of the mall road You can shop for shawls ready made and local handicrafts. The Tibetan market has a collection of wools, clothes, candles and other stuff. There are many restaurants along the mall road where you can have any kind of food which includes budget restaurants also, and some expensive restaurants also
And you can enjoy Lakeview right in front of the restaurants


There is also a stadium at one edge of the Nainital Lake where children plays many kind of sports there including cricket and football near the stadium.

There is a pathway from Mall Road to the Nene Devi Mandir Along that pathway there is a whole lot of open market shops which includes handmade winter clothes and street food open shops
